 Nathan John Feuerstein was born on March 30, 1991. His initials NF (stylized IF) are an American rapper, singer , and songwriter. He has released two EPs under Capitol CMG, "I'm Free" (2012) and"[3] and one self-titled EP in 2014. His first major-label album, Mansion, was released on March 31, 2015. His second studio album Therapy Session was released on April 22nd in 2016. It peaked at the number 12 on the US Billboard 200. The albums have earned him numerous awards, such as the Gospel Music Association Dove Award (Therapy Session) for Rap/Hip Hop Albums of the Year. Perception was ranked number one in the United States in 2017, and the third single, "Let You down", reached number 12 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Billboard Hot 100, and was a top-ten hit internationally. Similar commercial success was achieved through The Search (2019). Feuerstein said that rap was a way to escape his family during his childhood. He would record music on a karaoke machine, recording instrumentals on one microphone and his raps on the other. On November 29 of 2010, Feuerstein independently released his debut album Moments under his real name. On August 2, 2011 Feuerstein released his debut single "Alone". The song featured producers and songwriters Tommee Profitt and Brooke Griffith. In 2012, Feuerstein's work caught the attention of Xist Music. His first extended play, I'm Free was released on May 2, 2012 by Feuerstein with production work from Profitt. The album's tracklist included nine songs , including "Alone". The album featured an exclusive version with Sean Simmonds, the singer of "Alone". Xist revealed that NF was coming out however Feuerstein left the label over a dispute. NF production was postponed. NF featured a track, "Only One", featuring Shuree Williams on the label’s compilation album, Move Vol 1 On November 4 in 2013, he debuted "Beautiful Addiction", an album single. Profitt made a return to the song, along with vocals from Brady Schmitz (vocals) and Danielle Swift (vocals).
